Turbo Sonic Whole Body Vibration Machines (2024)

Our history with Turbo Sonic (these days, branded as Sonic Life, after revamped and innovation of the newest generation sonic machines) started like this: the first time my business partner had got onto a whole body vibration machine in his whole life, that had incidentally happened to be a Turbo Sonic. He was at his friend's place then, and his friend's dad had a Turbo Sonic. Every evening they would come back and then jostle over each other to get onto the machine - who grabs it before the other, like an addiction! The incredible part was that, the machine never seemed to heat up, and always seemed to deliver perfect pleasure.

Now, that was luck. Also, whichever vibration machine one gets onto for the first time in their life, that appeals to them (as long as it is not one of those cheap modules that cannot hold stable). Because, the first-time experience on these machines is usually close to no other experience in one's life, and yet a very comforting and refreshing one. With a sonic machine, and specifically a Turbo Sonic, that experience moves up by an additional notch.

So, in the opening note, let me introduce the Turbo Sonic as the undisputed emperor of all the whole body vibration machines that exist today. Sonic Life, the new generation sonic machines beyond the traditional TurboSonic, delivers what Thera Vibe delivers (or a bit more than that - more about it later), but at less than half the price. Also, although made in Korea, they have got distribution centers all over the USA, so the shipping is pretty fast. Turbo Sonic is one of the most well-respected machines in the USA, Canada, Korea and Japan, among many. And overall, what a Turbo Sonic machine has to offer to its user is second to no other machine. Let us go into that right now.

Sonic vibration

Turbo Sonic uses the sonic vibration technology. It can be summarized as a high-cost, high-benefit vibration technology. Sonic vibrations are motor-less and smooth. Sound bass waves are used to create and target (more about targets later) the vibrations, in place of the usual motors that any non-sonic vibration machine would use. One of the immediate advantages, of course, is there is no vibration motor wear-and-tear or damage that happens. Sound-producing bass speakers are easier to maintain and tend to have a longer lifetime compared to vibration-producing motors. And for the same reason, the motors are absolutely quiet and non-jarring.

And by the way, you can literally hook up your favorite music on your music system, by connecting that to the inlet of the machine. This could also be your iPod or phone, plugged into the jack. And as you play the music on the speaker, the vibration flows through your body - it sends sounds waves through your body, thereby creating sonic vibration. While initially it may sound a bit creepy, but trust me, it's an amazing feeling!

Wide frequency range

Turbo Sonic vibration machines support a really wide vibration range. And the wider the vibration frequency range, the better is the set of benefits that the machine would deliver. By the way, there is a misconception that one only needs to vibrate at high frequencies. That's completely wrong. The lower frequencies cater to health maintenance needs while the higher frequencies are great for developing bodily powers.

Low end frequency
The Sonic Life Personal vibration machine can come down to 5 Hz at the lower end of the spectrum. The Pulsation and Professional can come down to as low as 3 Hz. Along with the one-step frequency control (described a bit later in this article) and the micro-level control it provides, this is a wonderful combination. In fact, no other machine we recommend can come down to as low as 3 Hz at the lower end. Therefore, no other machine can deliver the low-frequency vibration benefits that Sonic Life, the new evolved Turbo Sonic, can.

The lower frequencies of vibration are wonderful for lymph drainage, blood circulation management and detoxification. At low frequency vibrations, the body does not go through rapid accelerations; instead, there are gentle massage-like effects that get delivered to the body. Hence, the low-frequency vibrations are great for elderly people with back issues, knee and joint pains, and other health factors that need nurturing and maintaining. And these benefits have been researched extensively by scientists in labs and professors in universities. For example, this research paper talks about the effects of using whole body vibration on leg pressure. All in all, if the low-end vibration frequency benefits is what your body needs, there is no machine better than TurboSonic.

High end frequency
At the higher end of the vibration frequency spectrum, there are a number of health development impacts that are shown on the human body. Athletes use whole body vibration to develop fitness, bones and muscles. In fact, there have been many studies that have looked into the positive impacts of taking vibration exercises on muscle and bone density. The conclusions spelled out by a lot of these studies clearly suggest that muscle growth, muscle tone improvement and bone density improvements are positively correlated with high frequency vibration. Specific research studies have been done with the Turbo Sonic machines also, and the indications suggest that they are capable of delivering the best of the benefits that high frequency vibrations can deliver. Turbo Sonic goes up as high as 50 Hz. Yes, there are a few (linear/tri-planar, not sonic) machines that go higher (up to ////////1 Hz), but most often these super-high are not needed, unless you want to become a super-athlete (for a normal athlete in the college basketball team winning competitions, 40 Hz onwards is enough, and the 50 Hz that TurboSonic gives is more than enough).

Here is a scientific study by lab scientists/professors of a university, studying the impact of high vibration on bone density on human body. And it clearly found the positive impacts on osteoporosis - how post-menopausal women improved their bone densities using high frequency vibration for 6 months. In addition, they ended up having good positive impacts on muscle strength, muscle structure and muscle reflexes also. This is just one example of what good-quality vibration of high frequency can do for one. And Turbo Sonic, being proponents of the sonic vibration technology, gives the best quality of vibrations as per today's state of the art. The wide range of frequency, including both the high and low end of the vibration frequency spectrum, makes Turbo Sonic one of the most complete machines.

One-step frequency control

How well does one control the vibration frequencies of the WBV machines? The normal answer would be, at steps of 3-5 Hz, for any of the upward or downward directions. However, this answer would drastically change in case of Turbo Sonic. With TurboSonic, the user has a much finer grained control. The frequencies can be varied up or down at a gap of only 1 Hz. That's the most fine-tuned control existing for the whole body vibration exercise machines today. In fact, this is said to be one of the most amazing features that all the users of the sonic vibration machines that I interact with have claimed (though the most beneficial one, in most people's opinion, is a different feature).

Let's explain a bit more on how a Turbo Sonic machine can help, with an example. Let's consider a Sonix Pulsation (or Personal or Professional, if you want), and another machine. Let's say, you have currently set the vibration frequency to 10 Hz. And let's say, you want to go up a little bit. With the other machine, you would directly have to say 15Hz or 20 Hz (or, 13 Hz, depending upon how good the control given by the other machine is). With a Turbo Sonic, you would say, 11 Hz, 12 Hz, 13 Hz, 14 Hz, or any other number that you want to specify. The same is applicable when you come down. With Turbo Sonic, you can say 9 Hz, 8 Hz, 7 Hz and so on. This is perfect granularity of control that cannot be matched by any of the other machines. Users simply love this.

Pointed vibration to targeted part of body

According to most of the users of Turbo Sonic that I have interacted with, this is the best feature that Turbo Sonic offers. In fact, many individuals that I have spoken to have reacted, "you're kidding". I am not. You can literally select the part of body that you want to focus the vibration on, from the preset programs and control panel that TurboSonic provides. Once you do this and start the vibration process, the core focus of the exercises will be the specified part of the body. This will help you micro-control the precise amount of vibration that you want to render to each specific portion of your body. Combining this with the 1-Hz level frequency control, TurboSonic is clearly a machine that people love owning as long as they can afford the steep prices.

True vibration reading

This is quite an interesting feature. At the first glance, you may be questioning, "isn't the frequency reading of any whole body vibration machine just meant to do that?" And the answer to that is, almost yes but not quite. Rather than displaying the actual vibration frequency, a lot of the machines translate it into some function of its own and displays that. It could be in terms of benefit delivered, or some other scale. However, in Turbo Sonic (and a few other different machines that I also like), they would display the true vibration frequency. So rather than having to reverse-engineer and try to understand what the actual vibration frequency of your current exercise session is, on the Turbo Sonic digital display board you will be shown the exact frequency of vibration. This takes all the guess work out of the equation.

G-force and vibration amplitude

G-force is always one of the most important factors that qualifies a vibration exercise session. Vibration amplitude is another. Turbo Sonic does an excellent job in providing both. In fact, any machine that is capable of providing up to 8-10 G force and 10 mm vibration amplitude (for a linear machine, 5-7 mm amplitude could be enough) is a good machine in my opinion. Turbo Sonic crosses these benchmarks easily, and under loaded conditions.

Machine weight

Sonic Life, the new innovated version of Turbo Sonic, boasts of light machines. While a vibration machine of low weight (we are talking about the weight of the machine here, not the weight of the human being that the machine can carry while taking vibration exercises) is normally undesirable, Turbo Sonic machines are the other way round. In fact, these machines are only around 100 lbs heavy (more or less, depending upon the model). For any other motorized vibration machine, the low weight would indicate lack of stability. The motor would move the machine also. On the other hand, for a sonic machine, there is no motor. The vibrations are produced by sound systems (they are called sonic for this reason). Hence, a heavier motor does not indicate stability. In fact, trying the highest frequency and highest amplitude vibrations with the legs widest apart (which is the ultimate stability test of vibration machines), my team found Turbo Sonic to be among the most stable machines that exist. Therefore, this low weight of a Turbo Sonic (actually, the new Sonic Life machines - the older ones were heavier) gives it a lot of advantages. They can be moved easily. They are as quiet as possible. And yet, they are rock-stable.

Uptake of TurboSonic

Turbo Sonic has found acceptance in the USA and Canada to a very good extent. Japan and South Korea also use Turbo Sonic machines quite extensively. People who can afford these machines are almost always in love with these machines, in my experience. In the USA, they have distribution centers over many places in the country, so they ship fast. The company already does a good job in shipping the machines, and for my customers, I make sure to follow up till the last detail (not that I face issues, but just to be double-sure, as I try to do with every brand that we sell machines for - it does not cost the customer anything but helps them with a lot of additional peace of mind). Generally, the Turbo Sonic vibration machines are reliable and well-accepted because of their good quality and great customer service. The new Sonic Life is finding acceptance all over, just like the old Turbo Sonic brand did.

Too expensive? Financing and Alternative Vibration Technologies

TurboSonic being expensive but of high quality, there are two sides to the uptake of these machines. On one hand, owners of these machines love them, and we've had several customers that have come to us to buy the Turbo Sonic machines after getting recommended by other users of this brand. On the other hand, we've had people that wanted to buy and could not because of the high cost of these machines (by the way, we provide easy instant financing options for customers these days, call us at +1-888-228-4387 if you want to learn more).

By the way, what happens if you cannot financially afford a new inexpensive model of the Turbosonic (the new Sonic Life)? First, you won't be able to afford another sonic machine also, as with the new Sonic Life (Sonix) branded machines, the Turbo Sonic has become surprisingly inexpensive for a sonic vibration. The other good sonic vibration machines are much more expensive (mostly above $10,000 for the entry-level machines). Next, not being able to afford a Turbo Sonic is not the end of the world. Depending upon your exact bodily needs, both spiral and tri-planer vibration technologies may have solutions for your needs. Further, there are a couple of good linear and oscillation machines, and one or two brands producing outstanding pivotal vibration machines. Sure, you would still get 15%-20% less benefits and getting those benefits may mean a set of vibration exercise session that are a bit longer than usual. However, that way, you will end up saving a few thousand dollars. Those extra 20% benefits are awesome, but don't get too sad if you cannot reach there just yet. Also, I tend to have large unadvertised discounts for many brands many times. Turbo Sonic is certainly one of them. Get in touch with me on our phone number +1-888-228-4387 for this.

The bottom line

We strongly recommend Turbo Sonic, and more than ever after its newer innovated version Sonic Life (Sonix) has become available (really good bang for the buck now, given the much-lower price compared to before). Personally, if I was to recommend one brand irrespective of patient health conditions and objectives (which is never a great thing to do, because every health need is different: take our quiz here to find what will be the best given your health conditions and needs), I would recommend Turbo Sonic. It is my #1 brand among the ones that exist today. One, because I love the sonic technology because of what it is. Two, because Turbo Sonic is a wonderful embodiment of a sonic machine. And three, because their customer support, warranty and shipping/handling are really good.
